Tournament Format: The Shamble
The Shamble is a Golf tournament combining elements of a scramble
tournament with stroke play.
Tee shot: Like in a scramble, all members of your four person team tee off.
One shot is selected as the best position. All players move to that position.
Then, each player plays their own ball within one club length of that position,
not nearer the hole.
(A team must use a minimum of 2 tee shots from each team member)
Rest of hole: From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all
members of the team playing their own ball into the hole.
Scoring: Done by using the two low balls per hole for the team score. Full
handicaps will be used. A player may choose to pick up at any time
recognizing that the score will not be used as one of the teams final two per
hole.
So: Select the best shot off the tee, move all balls to that spot, then play
individual stroke play until each member of the group has holed out.
And: Have fun!
